Terragen is an exceptionally fine program for rendering realistic and fantasy landscapes. There are many add-on programs available to allow moving pictures as your camera flies over the terrain you have created.  There are so many features in the program I haven't even begun to find them all.  Try it for yourself.  Download it at http://www.planetside.co.uk
